About Pegnut Personal Gifts

Pegnut Personal Gifts is a brand new Bedfordshire based gift company, started by Alan and Clare-Louise Clare in 2018. We've always been creative people and have long talked about giving up the rat race and starting our own business, focussing on something we love. Alan spent many years working in the Financial Services sector in London, and Clare-Louise has worked for many years in Childcare. We realised that our job choices were preventing us achieving a good work-life balance, and with two young children we decided to make a big change! We have both been interested in personalised and engraved gifts, and decided that now was the time to make our own, so we set about converting our garage into our workshop and spare room into our office, and Pegnut Personal Gifts was born. Why Pegnut Personal Gifts we hear you say. We initially struggled to come up with a good name for our proposed business, then one day from our office window we looked out onto the woods behind our house, named Pegnut Woods. Wooden engraved gifts, being made right next to Pegnut Woods...it had to be done. Our aim is to create beautiful, original designs of the highest quality, offered at reasonable prices. A lot of our gifts can be personalised, making them unique to each customer. We design and engrave all our products on-site in our workshop and where possible we use sustainably sourced wood. We're completely independent with dreams to grow our little business into something we can be proud of.
