About PEI Business Women's Association
The PEI Business Women’s Association (PEIBWA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and inspiring women in business. Currently made up of over 500 members, the association continues to thrive in its quest to provide resources and networking opportunities to women. PEIBWA supports startup entrepreneurs, established business owners, women working in a variety of sectors, those in between jobs and considering self-employment, newcomers, students, and more. PEIBWA’s support to the business community comes in a variety of ways, offering: • Business advisory services for help with navigating resources • Business skills and professional development training • A membership program • Networking opportunities • Cohort based start-up and accelerator programming • Two locations - Charlottetown and Central Bedeque • Drop-in fully equipped workspace at our Central Bedeque location - Rural Women's Business Centre Within the above efforts, PEIBWA holds networking mixers, a Christmas Mixer, a yearly Symposium, Annual General Meeting and a variety of workshops and training sessions. PEIBWA’s success can be attributed to a few different sources; its dedicated staff, enthusiastic board of directors and funding partners as well as support from the business community.
