Penley Shafts Formerly Penley Power Shafts, then Penley Sports LLC, Carter Penley has re-emerged back onto the golf industry as a new entity – Carter Penley is now Penley Research and Development (PRD) dedicated to making the best golf shaft in the industry. Carter Penley's high quality golf shafts known by Long Drive Championship players and P.G.A. players worldwide: PGA (22 places 1st through 3rd in 2000-2002 alone), won the US Amateur, British Amateur and the NCAA Championship. 1st-3rd place in the US Open and 1st place in the Senior RE/Max World Long Drive Championship and also won the Canadian Long Drive along with the LDA Texas Shoot Out. Great players such as John Daly (who won the Buick Invitational in '04 using Penley), Lanny Wadkins, Jason Zuback, Vijay Singh and many more have played Penley shafts. Proudly made in the USA, Carter Penley is one of the few - if any, owner, founder and designer that is full time at the manufacturing plant and on the floor of the manufacturing facility tuning the manufacturing process and is personally involved in making course corrections and solving manufacturing problems on a daily, if not hourly basis.
