About Pennsylvania Policy Center

The Pennsylvania Policy Center (PPC) was launched on May 1, 2023, as the new state affiliate of the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities’ State Fiscal Project. Like its predecessor, the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, PPC builds on policy research and analysis to create the tools that political officials, opinion leaders, grassroots organizations, and the people of Pennsylvania need to expand our vibrant democracy, secure our freedom, and create a just Pennsylvania economy. Our work draws on a close connection to Pennsylvanians in every corner of the state, especially people of color and those with low incomes, and the organizations that represent them. We identify the problems and barriers they face and put our robust and credible public policy research and analysis to work to pinpoint the sources of these problems and propose ways to implement community-driven solutions. We then use this work to create tools—policy papers and reports, social media graphics and memes, action pages and pamphlets—to enable Pennsylvanians, inside and outside of government, to make their voices heard and advance public policies that reflect their ideals and serve their interests. Pennsylvania Policy Center is the state affiliate of the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities.
