People Demand Change INC. (PDC) is an international development and aid organization founded in 2013 by Qutaiba Idlbi and Sasha Ghosh Siminoff. PDC works to expand and strengthen civil society in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). PDC intends to create a new and improved relationship between aid providers and the communities on the ground by working with key figures in the region in a collaborative and culturally competent fashion that takes into account the changing dynamics of the region. PDC leverages an extensive and trusted network within the region that allows us to tap into the knowledge of local activists, local governance structures, grassroots media organizations, and other actors on the ground to produce a comprehensive understanding of the situation in the MENA region and specifically whichever country PDC finds itself working in. This network allows PDC to access privileged, up-to-date information to assist organizations and policymakers alike to make informed decisions about the ever-changing nature of the MENA region and the specific conflicts that are ongoing.
