About People's Trust for Endangered Species
PTES is a conservation charity, working to protect animals and their habitats in the UK as well as supporting conservation work overseas. For over 40 years our ground-breaking research has resulted in practical conservation action across the world, targeted where it is most needed and where it will have maximum impact. Please get in touch to find out more about: • our work to conserve endangered British mammals including water voles, hedgehogs and hazel dormice • how we can protect critical habitats like hedgerows, woodland pasture, traditional orchards and ancient woodland • our free advice on land management techniques and conservation mitigation • accessing large data sets on many endangered species in the UK • our wildlife and habitat surveys which the public can take part in • training courses that are available to ecologists and land managers • conservation grants that we offer to researchers looking to study British mammals, and international species conservation. Conserving the natural world is a huge challenge, and one that no-one can achieve alone. Effective conservation can only be achieved by people working together. Scientists, local communities, landowners, the public, volunteers and partner organisations all play a part. Header image credit Christopher Morgan
