About Pep Clothing
Pep Clothing is an apparel manufacturer supplying garments and shoes to leading southern African retailers such as PEP and Ackermans for more than 54 years. As a low-cost, high-volume mass manufacturer, PepClo is unique within the southern African clothing industry. PepClo's six factory divisions manufacture basic school clothing including trousers, shirts, dresses, a range of basic knitted underwear and basic foot-wear such as Flip Flops. PepClo is currently the largest clothing manufacturer under one roof in Southern Africa, employing close to 2000 people and delivering more than 15 million garments and shoes annually to our retail customers. PepClo strives to continually improve its production methods and quality of product and service, while remaining the lowest cost manufacturer. Quality is the cornerstone of our business and all our products are randomly audited on a daily basis using a statistical model. As an organisation we rely heavily on our own Quality Assurance System. PepClo has a wide, yet reliable, raw material sourcing network both locally and internationally. All our raw materials are tested in our sophisticated laboratory to ensure adherence to customer specifications. We recognise that our newly upgraded equipment and technology will not be maximised without equipping our people with the necessary skills. The Skills Training Centre has won various awards over several years, both locally and nationally, proving that PepClo employees are among the most proficient machinists in the industry.
