PepTown is a smartphone-based fundraising solution for high school sports. Individuals and local businesses sponsor information (rosters, schedules, live scores, etc.) for fans. The information is contributed by anyone in the community so it is always accurate and up-to-date. Peptown is like a live digital version of a traditional printed program. The PepTown mobile app has separate message areas for business and personal sponsors. Business sponsors show their support while gaining visibility within the community with customized messages and business information. Individual sponsors (family, friends, neighbors, etc) get to “shout-out” to their favorite athletes and can directly link their messages to athletes’ student pages. Sponsors pay any amount they want. Messages are shown in the app in rotation, each getting time in proportion to the amount paid. The more a sponsor gives, the more their message appears. 90% of the money goes to the school, and the PepTown mobile app is free.
