PERE VALLS, SA, es una empresa familiar fundada en 1527, situada en Sant Pere de Riudebitlles, en la comarca del Alt Penedès; que se encuentra en su novena generación, y se dedica a la fabricación de papel reciclado. En su actividad principal realiza una función medioambiental importante transformando cada año 20.000 toneladas de papel viejo en papel nuevo. La amplia gama de productos de papel fabricada en nuestras instalaciones tiene aplicaciones para uso alimentario, embalaje, para la fabricación de mandriles, etc. Disponemos de Certificación de Calidad ISO 9001 y Certificación de Gestión Ambiental ISO 14001, además de los Registros Sanitarios correspondientes de la instalación. En la empresa se ha realizado una inversión para minimizar considerablemente el impacto de las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero; sustituyendo la caldera de gas, por una caldera alimentada con biomasa: en concreto astilla forestal de proximidad. Hemos sido la primera empresa del sector en Cataluña en apostar por este cambio.
