Our leading performance medical specialists engrains a culture of total recovery and rejuvenation that doesn’t simply focus on one thing or serves up an instant cookie-cutter solution. We take time to listen, understand and create a holistic programme to realign the performer with the performance of their lifetime. Our approach is understanding and treating the full spectrum of today’s performer we are passionate about injury prevention and provide various workshops and advice to professional production companies, dances schools and performing arts schools nationwide. Areas where our expertise is sought include physical health education, rehearsal and show recovery, sustainable choreography, stagecraft, stage safety and character movement development. At Performance Medicine we are the Australian pioneers in the treatment and development of vocal unloading (or vocal physiotherapy) and work with the professional performance voice and pathological voice problems. We work closely with ENT specialists, speech pathologists and vocal coaches to alleviate and rehabilitate vocal problems. Not just for performers! Our specialist sports and musculoskeletal physio knowledge can assist you in achieving your goals whether it be managing headaches, neck or back pain to improving your general fitness and posture. Performance Medicine was established in 2009 by the Director Annie Strauch. Annie has degrees in both Masters in Sports Physiotherapy and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. Her love for the performance industry began on London’s West End managing the physiotherapy for over 30 stage productions.
