About Periodt.

At Periodt., we are committed to creating a community where menstrual education, care, and access to resources take center stage. Co-founded by Reshma, Sahana, Shaaraw, and Shashank, our initiative challenges the widespread notion that menstrual resources are a luxury. Menstrual health should not be a want—it is a fundamental need. However, the pervasive taboo and lack of education surrounding menstruation in many parts of India have made change difficult. By bridging the education gap and fostering open conversations, Periodt. envisions a more informed and compassionate society. Our mission extends to government schools and rural areas, where we aim to educate communities and provide the menstrual care facilities they need to ensure safety and health. What began as a simple idea to install pad dispensers in our school—inspired by the challenges we faced in accessing pads—has grown into a movement. Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, and 17, and UNCRC Articles 24 and 27, our work is part of a broader mission to promote health, equality, and dignity.
