About Permatours

Permatours is a decentralized, permaculture-action community dedicated to regenerating ecosystems and empowering communities through learn-by-doing projects. In just under 4 years, we have successfully completed over 50 permaculture and natural building projects across more than 30 community centers throughout the Northeast of the U.S. and beyond, impacting thousands of lives. Our events teach participants to grow food, build natural structures, and co-create in community, while helping community centers develop infrastructure and capacity. This work has woven a vibrant network of regenerative hubs, stewarding the earth and providing access to affordable, healthy food, housing, work trade opportunities, education, and / or community. Kickstarted by a SEEDS regenerative cryptocurrency grant, we started our tour by rewarding participants with SEEDS which they could use to buy products and services - cultivating experimental regenerative economies wherever we went. At Permatours, we operate without a single leader. Our rotating leadership model and sense of family inspire action for something greater than ourselves—building a more abundant and regenerative future for all.
