Perplexia Pictures is a newly incorporated company set up by industry veterans, Angus Fletcher and Ronald Henry. Having worked successfully together on CG animated kids content, including a CG feature film, an animated CG kid’s series as well as developing several new kids shows, Angus and Ronald decided to set up Perplexia Pictures. Angus has a long industry career including stints at Anglia TV (ITV) and later as President of Jim Henson Television. Over the ensuing years, Angus has also worked with numerous international media and entertainment companies as both a creative and business consultant. After co- founding one of the world’s first digital cinema companies, Ron later created South Africa's biggest Motion Capture Studio, The Flying Circus, and has a long history in animation, photography and post production. The objective is to develop an annual slate of films produced, primarily in Mauritius and South Africa, which will be aimed at the vibrant global market for family content. There are distribution deals in place with Jetpack Distribution (Worldwide) and Indigenous Films (Africa). Perplexia is headquartered in the UK and has line production partners in both Mauritius and South Africa. The intention is to work with a core and talented in-house team who will take a creative and business lead in projects whilst working in partnership with local producers, production teams and on-screen talent.
