About Persea

Persea is a French biotech developing the next generation treatment changing the game against solid cancers, after ADCs. The drug candidate is a Trojan Horse targeting the tumor micro-environment and triggering chemotherapy locally for a complete tumor response and a long lasting immune response. - Efficient tumor targeting and homing thanks to Mesenchymal Stem Cells | - Payload : chemotherapy, prodrug activated within the tumor with a demultiplied impact thanks to a modified gene - Iimmune response thanks to the conjunction of the massive tumor destruction and T-reg depletion. Comprehensive in vivo proof of concept results are available, with additional results to come late October 2025. The first indication we target is Hepatocellular carcinoma. HCC or primary liver cancer is an unmet medical need with a 5-year survival rate of less than 17%; 80% of patients receive palliative treatment. More than 900,000 new cases are diagnosed each year worldwide today and forecasts indicate 1.4M in 2040. In Europe and North America, there are 130,000 new cases each year. Persea is one of the innovative projects selected and supported by the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster, whose mission is to accelerate the development of innovation in oncology.
