PCPW, a private practice, located in Cartersville, Georgia dedicated to helping women live more satisfying lives through Mindfulness-Based Cognitive approaches. We work with highly functioning women who are involved in dealing with one issue that is taking up more energy than is skillful. Our clients may be feeling 'stuck' in their relationships, emotionay "out of balance" (new or increased depression or anxiety), may be dealing with grief, loss, bereavement or facing some major life or career transition. We offer individual and group sessions, couples and family system services. To our professional community, our Certified Professional Counselor Supervisors (CPCS) offer Clinical Supervision and Consultation to those who already have attained or who may be pursuing full licensure. For those seeking support on their path to develop or expand their private practice dreams, we provide both individual and group Practice Development Consultation as well as CE courses on personal and professional development. Through our sister organization, A Mindful Place: Anxiety & Stress Reduction Center we offer opportunities to expand upon the insights gained through therapy and/or coaching through experiential workshops, trainings and retreats Ms. Barge, Founder and Director of both entities, has a rich background as both a clinical and marketing director for Charter Medical Corporation(Clinical Director) and Northside Hospital (Marketing Director) in Atlanta. She has also been an independent business owner and entrepeneur in the areas of managed care, Employee Assistance Programming and commission-based medical product sales. This broad background has created a skill-base and life perspective that strongly flavors her approach with clients. She is particularly comfortable and effective in working with highly functioning women who are interested in exploring and overcoming their current obstacles to move beyond where they are to where they would like to be.
