About Peter Alexander
From his Mum's kitchen table to bedrooms in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and across the world! Over the last 37 years Peter Alexander has become the household name for sleepwear and gifts, known and loved by every generation for his iconic, playful and luxurious designs. Starting back in 1987, Peter launched his sleepwear brand from his Mum Julette’s dining room table, supplying beautiful sleepwear to a major Australian department store. After a cancelled order (and a whopping 2000 pairs of pyjamas filling every corner of the house), Peter was forced to run a mail order service in a magazine in hopes to clear the stock... but it wasn't long before the phones were ringing off the hook and he was dubbed 'Pyjama King' by the media! Fast forward to today and Peter is sharing his dreams of beautiful sleepwear all over the world, with over 130 retail locations across Australia and New Zealand, online at peteralexander.com.au and peteralexander.co.nz, and in October 2024, Peter Alexander woke up in the UK with brand new retail locations and online at peteralexander.co.uk. Peter Alexander is part of Premier Retail, the retail arm of the publicly listed company Premier Investments (ASX: PMV) – an ASX 200 listed company.
