Petersen Consulting is an independent consultancy focused on steel preservation. My mission is to provide accurate and cost-effective solutions to my client’s coating and corrosion prevention needs. Based on decades of experience I offer to perform existing condition assessments, specification development & work-pack generation, onsite supervision and project management. With the current marine focus on vessel emissions and invasive species I offer hull performance optimization during dry-docking through hull roughness measurement & analysis, supervision of surface preparation and coating application. My experience and expertise in surveying and refurbishing cargo and ballast tanks is extensive. I offer that to my clients. I am well versed in the needs of my offshore clients in the maintenance of their assets including managing their onboard corrosion mitigation objectives. I can also offer my experience with SPS (Sandwich Plate System) as an alternative to ‘crop-and-renew for steel repairs. My career has taken me to shipyards in the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia. I have performed successful vessel surveys at-sea as well as supervised coating refurbishments on a voyage-repair and in-situ basis. I am an independent source for your coatings related projects
