Known in the wider senior executive space as a ‘thought leader’, I have a breadth and depth of experience across Corporates, Small Medium Enterprise, and large privately owned companies. With an early career history in Freightways and Xerox, I became a founding shareholder and Director in Blue Star, a group of office automation, telecommunications and data companies we grew from $4 million to $500 million in 5 years. I was the Group Marketing Director and picked up responsibilities for Strategic HR. I work extensively internationally as a mentor with Senior Management Teams, Boards and in particular CEOs. I am recognised as a high level strategist with my feet firmly planted on the ground. With strong financial understanding, I have a good grasp of the finance/banking sector at all levels. With inter-generational connection to the primary industries of dairy and wood processing, I have both strategic and delivery knowledge. Professional services, media/entertainment, retail, F&B, apparel & textiles, manufacturing, construction,logistics, export/import, real estate, as well as the energy sector, IT, franchise and indigenous sectors have also received my focus. While I often deal with situations and projects of unparalleled complexity, I thrive on the opportunity to simplify the situation and work on the key planks. Business doesn't have to be complex.
