About Philippine American Organization
The Philippine-American Organization (PAO) is dedicated to the empowerment, appreciation, and cultural awareness of Filipino culture since its founding in 1986 at The City College of New York (CCNY) through introduction, dialogue, and cultural activities. PAO provides a friendly social atmosphere that allows Filipino-American students, as well as students of all cultural backgrounds, to interact and meet. The connections that have been forged through PAO are nothing short of familial. Members who have graduated consistently return to the campuses of City College to visit current members and continue being a part of this great organization. YOU NEED NOT BE A FILIPINO TO JOIN. PAO prides itself on its cultural expansion. Currently, PAO is a very culturally diverse organization. We are always actively recruiting and seeking new members to be a part of the organization; new and prospective members are always welcomed to join in on our meetings and events.
