Phone Karma is an existing San Jose-based provider of cellular phone trade-in and recycling services for individuals and small businesses across the United States. Since January 2013, PhoneKarma.com has offered an online portal that allows small businesses in the cellular phone industry to operate an in-house mobile device trade-in program. Retailers can view the Company’s current market prices for iPhones, Androids, Blackberrys, or other models and conditions, and can purchase used devices (even tablets) from customers at rates slightly below these guaranteed sale prices. The retailer will then sell the used devices to PhoneKarma.com at the stated rates, retaining a small profit for each sale. The Company will thereafter work with its network of used phone and mobile device buyers in the U.S., Asia, Europe, Canada, and Australia to sell the used items in bulk for refurbishment or recycling.
