About Physitemp Instruments

Physitemp specializes in manufacturing high-accuracy thermocouple probes and temperature instrumentation. With more than 40 years of experience in the design of microsensors, it has an extensive OEM customer base for whom it manufactures specialty thermocouple probes and wire. Physitemp manufactures thousands of custom temperature probes each year. Our precision probes and wire are an integral part of sophisticated medical and scientific instrumentation in use throughout the world. Physitemp Instruments can provide you with a very accurate temperature monitor and Type T thermocouple microprobes. Physitemp thermometers have a resolution and accuracy of 0.1°C in the 0-50°C range and are traceable to NIST standards. Other competitive electronic thermometers might have 0.1°C resolution, but their accuracy is usually to 0.5°C or worse. Furthermore, all our type T clinical probes are guaranteed accurate to ±0.1°C, due to our stringent wire standards. These are five times more accurate over this range than competitive probes made with regular "Special Limits" wire. We offer a complete line of Animal Temperature Control products including Controllers, Heat Plates, Infrared Heat Lamps, warming blankets and rectal temperature probes. We specialized in small, fast and accurate temperature probes for all applications. Our probes interface with Physitemp temperature Monitors and multi-channel Temperature Data Acquisition system, which offer accuracy of 0.1 degrees C and resolution of .01 degrees C. We also offer a complete line of thermoelectric heating and cooling stages for microscopes and Freezing stages for microtomes.
