About Pike County Self Defense
Here at the PCSD we take pride in the fact that we teach in the true traditions of the Martial Arts. Our classes are geared towards building Respect, Awareness, Confidence, and Self-Esteem, which builds character within each student. We teach students from the age of 3 years old thru adult. We are a family oriented dojo so that students and their parents can train together. We feel that the younger students enjoy their experience more having parents train with them. Students are taught life saving Self-Defense moves as well as KATA (a sequence of moves put into a form) and Sparring. Although we train as a team, the individual results can be most rewarding. Our philosophy is such that we teach our students to be respectful and to avoid any confrontations whenever possible, but we also give them the confidence to never back down from a situation. Although it is not easy to earn a Black Belt here, if you are willing and able to work hard and practice, your experience here will be rewarding. Why don't you come on down and check us out, we are located at 106 Dingmans Plaza Rt.739, Dingmans Ferry, PA. 18328
