Underground mine design and planning is our bread and butter. Decades of experience in a wide variety of operating underground mines drives our safety and value driven outputs. PIMS’ hands on experience in portal or shaft site selection, grade control, ventilation, dewatering, haulage, power distribution, stoping methods, backfill, equipment selection, infrastructure design, and costing ensures all necessary components are included in the appropriate plan. Mine plans often have conflicting goals of rapid rates versus selective methodology. PIMS’ will find the right balance to keep costs down and margins up. Mine design and planning is accomplished using the Deswik® suite of mining software allowing for integration of CAD design with scheduling and resource management.
