Independent Medical Examinations for Workers’ Compensation, Auto Disability and other Personal Injury Claims PROFESSIONAL STATEMENT FOR ROBERT RONDINELLI, MD, PHD, CIME I am a Des Moines area physician who specializes in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). Until recently, I served as the Medical Director of Rehabilitation Services for Unity Point Health Des Moines and Younker Rehab at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. During my medical career, I have rehabilitated perhaps several thousand hospitalized patients suffering from catastrophic and disabling illnesses or injuries, and have also cultivated a strong side interest in outpatient rehabilitation of injured workers suffering from “delayed recovery” and in providing medico-legal services to work injury and personal injury claims managers, insurers and attorneys including impairment ratings, disability evaluations, return-to-work restrictions and Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs). I am now reducing my hospital-based services by almost 50% in order to allow me to devote additional time and attention to these medico-legal services through my new corporation, Pinnacle IME Services, LLC. My goal is to provide you with timely services and thorough and objective reporting which is at once straightforward, transparent, unbiased, and of maximum quality and reasonable affordability.
