These new molecules may provide new treatment options for patients suffering from these debilitating diseases, especially pediatric populations, for which the FDA granted Orphan Drug Designation to our lead candidate for the treatment of Pediatric Ulcerative Colitis. Placer Biosciences is also developing new products based on our enzyme technologies, and pioneering the use of UGT enzymes as direct-acting therapeutic agents for acute conditions.
