Placer County Transportation Planning Agency is the designated Regional Transportation Planning Agency for the western slope of Placer County. PCTPA is managed by a nine member board of local City and Town Councilmembers, County Supervisors, and a citizen member. PCTPA is a leader in delivering key transportation projects on-time and on-budget, ensuring that every tax dollar is spent wisely. PCTPA's track record of success includes the Highway 65 Lincoln Bypass Project, Phase 1 of the Interstate 80 / Highway 65 Interchange Design and Safety Improvements Project, the Interstate 80 Bottleneck Project, and the Douglas and Sierra College Interchange Improvement Projects. While PCTPA has worked hard for decades to delivery much-needed transportation infrastructure improvements, changing state and federal funding has left Placer County without the funding it needs to keep up with growing congestion.
