Where big feelings go to be heard. Planet Buu is a story-led emotional support platform for children with emotional, sensory or communication needs—and the parents beside them. Some children don’t cry when they’re sad. They go quiet. They hold it in. Planet Buu exists for those children—and for the grown-ups trying to reach them, understand them, and help them feel safe. We create gentle tools, stories and characters that support social-emotional learning (SEL) for families navigating: • Anxiety and emotional shutdowns • Sensory sensitivities or sensory overload • Speech delays, selective mutism and communication challenges • Traits associated with autism, ADHD or emotional intensity • Big feelings that don’t always have names At the heart of our world is Buu, a soft, antennae-glowing listener who hears sadness like a signal—and comes quietly when he’s needed most. He doesn’t cheer children up. He sits with them. He listens. And when they’re ready, he helps the sadness leave—through a Hugwave. Parents and carers receive tools too. Our books, character sets, emotional activity sheets and parent guides are designed to support co-regulation, quiet connection, and emotionally attuned communication at home. Planet Buu is not a cartoon. It’s not a toy brand. It’s a gentle emotional toolkit—wrapped in story—for families who need something slower, softer, and safer. Founded by two psychologists and parents, Planet Buu blends clinical insight with real-world parenting—supporting children who feel deeply and communicate quietly.
