Getting on for a decade ago, two of us sat down in a Spaces meeting room, shut the door, and turned our phones off. Change was in the air. We’d spent almost 20 years growing and leading a practice that built one of the definitive models for placing a commercial value on sporting rights. But now we wanted to do something different, but we didn’t know what that meant. So, that afternoon, with nothing but a flipchart and a gallon of coffee, we thrashed out what we wanted Platformation to be. What resulted are the promises we made to ourselves. We agreed that valuing a deal is what we are best at, but it’s the starting point. We’re in the business of relationships and working with our clients use the valuation to achieve their goal. We promised to remain independent, so we’re free to use the best information for each project, not the information that suits any other agenda. We committed to being honest. We’ll tell you the unvarnished truth, whether it’s what you want to hear or not. What we created that day is a manifesto to live up to, but more importantly, we created Platformation. In seven short years we’ve grown a business, a reputation and we’re honoured to serve some of the biggest brands in the world on some of the highest profile deals.
