About Playfinity
Playfinity assembled in 2016 to become a force for good - realizing the global crisis on play, the decline in sports participation, and the growing physical and mental health concerns amongst children. We're developing products, technology, and experiences that inspire, motivate, and connect children, coaches, parents, families, friends, and teammates around the world - providing new ways to discover, play, compete, and have fun together based on the sports they love. Our ambition at Playfinity is to be the category leader in an emerging real-world gaming segment - combining gaming, sports, and physical activity in new and innovative ways. Putting the player in the center of the physical game - we’ve created fully-immersive experiences, with sound effects, music and live commentary - play by play. The experiences that we create are built on our proprietary playOS platform combining sensors and mobile technology. playOS is designed as a system for repeatable development, allowing us to scale faster and cheaper for every new sport. Through this we’re targeting the 1.5+ Billion people playing sports, the $173B gaming industry, and the $388B sports industry. Through partnerships in 2020 we launched Jump Games in Europe and in 2021 we followed up with Jump League in Australia - both trampoline inspired. In Fall of 2021 we launched the Backyard League Gaming Baseball in the United States, appealing to 24+ million players, 96% of whom are kids between the ages of 6-14 years. In the 2 months post-launch the Gaming Baseball earned #1 status for the holiday on Amazon Launchpad and was featured in Newsweek as the #2 technology gift for the holiday 2021.
