Plight is a groundbreaking feature film that stars a cast of actors with autism and brings urgent visibility to the neurodivergent community through authentic, inclusive storytelling. Set in a dystopian near-future, the film follows four autistic young men who must brave a broken world to save the person who has always protected them. Shot in just 11 days on a micro-indie budget of $170K, Plight is not only a creative achievement—it’s a movement. After premiering in Los Angeles, the film deeply moved audiences and sparked meaningful conversations around inclusion. Academy Award®–winning filmmaker Sean Baker called it “a very accomplished film.” Now on a nationwide tour, Plight is partnering with community organizations, schools, churches, and advocacy groups to spark dialogue, raise awareness, and advance inclusion for people with autism in film and television.
