We pride ourselves on including all of your transport, accommodation and heaps of high-ticket activities on our tours while supporting small, locally owned businesses in the countries we operate in. While the travel industry is notorious for its greenwashing, at Plotpackers we recognise that this isn’t the solution. We are committed to increasing our sustainability efforts in proportion to the company’s growth rate. As such, we’re proud to be starting our sustainability journey with Ecologi. We have already supported both climate and community driven projects around the world such as protecting of the Matavén forest in eastern Colombia, supporting the Ouarzazate solar power project in Morocco – where solar power currently represents less than 2% of the energy mix – and distributing fuel efficient cleaner cookstoves in Kenya. We are also proud disruptors of a male-dominated travel industry. Where the majority of huge travel companies that have a “limited budget” to offer creators are male owned, the majority of travel creators are female, which sounds a lot like a gendered pay gap. With a female founder and a forward thinking, diverse team, we are here to do things differently.
