Preformed Line Products (GB) Limited was established in 1957 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Preformed Line Products Company of Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The Company manufactures and supplied a comprehensive range of products to the Overhead Electrical Power Transmission and Distribution Industry, the Telecommunication Industry and services other Industries with specialist products. Our market includes the UK, Ireland and selected countries from Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa and we have established an unrivalled reputation for service, reliability and quality as an acknowledged market leader. Initially PLP (GB) Ltd introduced and manufactured a comprehensive patented range of helically formed wire based on those developed by Preformed Line Products USA. Since our formation, our facilities, product range and markets have expanded considerably. A new, purpose-built factory and office complex was opened in Andover, UK in 1975 and further significant expansion of both factory and laboratory facilities has subsequently taken place. The PLP (GB) Ltd product range has expanded to include fittings for High Voltage Overhead Power Transmission Lines, with emphasis on wind induced conductor motion control. In addition, we now supply fitting packages for all types of overhead optical fibre cables, a growing range of telecommunications products and a wide range of factored products. Our company has always placed a very high priority on providing a complete service to its customers ranging from product development aimed at meeting specific needs, to training in product installation. One of our Company's main strengths lies in its dedicated and experienced personnel and this is reflected in the emphasis we place on staff development and training. PLP (GB) Ltd are proud holders of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance Certification and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Certification.
