The company was founded in the 1950's by Thomas and Bernice Plumb, initially as a market business. In the 1960’s, their son, Geoff Plumb, developed the business into a mail order company specialising in a niche market of stretch furniture covers. Plumbs is still owned and run by the same family that established the company over 60 years ago.
