About Plunge San Diego
Spend a day with friends and family steps from the sand at the Historic Plunge San Diego in Mission Beach. Since 1925 the Plunge has been a San Diego community icon, and thanks to a five-year restoration project, the historic swimming pool is now a state-of-the-art attraction. Featuring floor-to-ceiling glass walls that maximize ocean views, plus a retractable roof that allows for a climate-controlled environment. Swim in a sunlit paradise and enjoy food and drinks from the renovated Beach House restaurant, located steps from the Plunge entrance. This iconic heated public pool is open year-round and is known to be one of the largest in southern California. It includes seven (7) lap swim lanes, and a shallow area with a giant floating obstacle course for maximum family fun. Day passes include the use of lap lanes, obstacle course, sauna, locker rooms, hot showers, functional fitness area and the option to leave and return all day. With over 355,000 gallons of water and an ideal beach location in Belmont Park, Plunge San Diego has something for everyone.
