PMD Packaging Systems has been serving the food industry for the last 55 years. The company was the first in Africa to produce vertical form fill and seal machines, and now has many thousands of machines installed in a broad cross section of industries and countries throughout the continent. The company operates from a factory at Northriding, north of Johannesburg. In addition there are branches in Cape Town and Durban. Every year PMD exports a large share of its output to countries mainly in Africa and even as far as Papua New Guinea. Throughout the years PMD has put technical development at the top of its agenda, with the result that its products are widely recognized as the leaders in the field of food packaging machinery.
