The PMI Florida Suncoast Chapter takes a leadership role in promoting advancement in the field of Project Management within the community. The Chapter strives to work in conjunction with other organizations to support companies, universities, and government in the community and make available to them our knowledge and experience. The PMI Florida Suncoast Chapter provides our members opportunities to continue their professional development, by both the formal and informal exchange of ideas and experiences found in a diverse professional organization and by supporting and promoting certification of project management. Objectives 1. Advances the mission and objectives of the Project Management Institute within the West Coast Florida area. 2. Develops a growing and committed membership of local Project Management Professionals through an aggressive recruiting and retention plan. 3. Promotes professional project management principles and techniques with local businesses, universities and professional associations. 4. Supports and enhances project management professionalism by developing and providing quality programs based on local Project Manager needs. 5. Creates and delivers an educational program that strengthens local project manager skills and supports the Project Management Institute certification program.
