About PMI Southern Italy Chapter
Il Project Management Institute - Southern Italy Chapter (PMI-SIC) è la localizzazione sud Italia del Project Management Institute (PMI), la più importante associazione di Project Management al mondo, fondata nel 1969 a Philadelphia (USA), che conta attualmente oltre 550.000 soci e che ha rilasciato più di 900.000 certificazioni attive, tra le quali la certificazione Project Management Professional (PMP) che è la più importante a livello globale per i Project Manager. Per saperne di più sul PMI: www.pmi.org Il PMI-SIC è nato nel 2004 ed è registrato come associazione senza fini di lucro secondo le leggi italiane. E’ una comunità che comprende professionisti, imprenditori e docenti, che attualmente conta circa 330 soci e si avvale di una rete di partner che comprende istituzioni, università, aziende e associazioni. Svolge le sue attività direttamente nelle regioni del Sud Italia: Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sicilia. Insieme agli altri due Chapter Italiani del PMI (Central Italy Chapter e Northern Italy Chapter) ha costituito la federazione PMI Italy Chapters, che collabora su temi a valenza nazionale condividendo linee di azione, iniziative ed eventi (tra questi il Forum Nazionale di Project Management, appuntamento annuale). Tra i riconoscimenti ottenuti, il più prestigioso è stato la vittoria del premio Chapter of the Year 2016, assegnato dal PMI il 23 settembre 2016 a San Diego (California): il PMI-SIC è stato premiato come miglior Chapter al mondo nella Categoria 1 (Chapter fino a 300 soci). Inoltre, il PMI-SIC è stato finalista nel 2017 nella Categoria 1 (Chapter fino a 300 soci) e nel 2018 nella Categoria 2 (Chapter da 301 a 1500 soci), risultando in entrambi i casi il miglior Chapter dell’area EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa).
