About PMINYC Chapter
PMI NYC, a registered 501(c)6 non-profit organization, is the New York City Chapter of PMI, the Project Management Institute. The Chapter provides a venue to allow Project Managers, and those interested in the Project Management profession to network with other professionals. The Chapter offers numerous programs to enhance the development of Project Management Professionals. The Project Management Institute New York City Chapter (PMINYC) is one of the largest chapters in PMI with more than 3,000 members representing over 300 companies, from small businesses to Fortune 500 global enterprises. PMINYC prides itself in providing a wide variety of educational experiences in order to advance the careers of our members and the practice of project management. The chapter offers three regularly scheduled monthly meetings in addition to special events and educational opportunities in project management. All meetings provide a great opportunity for attendees to network with their colleagues as well as hear an interesting presentation about a topic related to project management. The PMINYC chapter also organizes and hosts an annual Symposium (formerly our Professional Development Day.) This event is known for attracting speakers who are leaders in the project management community and providing a full day of outstanding content. The chapter also has a Networking program, Outreach programs and many Learning and Development workshops and seminars. Almost all of our events offer Professional Development Units (PDUs) that can be applied to maintaining your PMI certification. The chapter is a volunteer-run organization and offers many opportunities to the membership to earn PDUs by helping to run the chapter.
