Print Media Logistics was established through an amalgamation of two long-standing newspaper transportation companies called Southbound Transport Pty Ltd and Central Coast Newstrans Pty Ltd. Southbound Transport has provided services to NAPL (News Australia Production & Logistics) since 1971, while Central Coast Newstrans has delivered News Ltd papers since 1981. In 2011, the two companies joined forces as PML to compete with the large non-specialist courier companies. The previous four decades of specialist newspaper and print media transportation experience has helped PML go from strength to strength. PML currently service in excess of 320 Newspaper and Magazine runs 7 nights per week. PML's fleet comprises of, well-maintained, utes to b-doubles. Tracking PML have proprietary GPS tracking software (Track My Truck) so clients can alleviate frustrations on when their deliveries will be delivered or arrive. Reliability PML have exacting quality control procedures to ensure that issues are resolved as quickly as possible. No call centres to deal with, no automated systems—instead, we have rigorous operational procedures and the managers at PML are ready to respond to any queries at all times. Safety PML has important transportation safety policies at work. PML’s full policy booklet is available upon request but the main components are a Workplace Health and Safety Policy, a Driver Fatigue Management Policy and a Drug and Alcohol Policy. All our policies meet or exceed legislative requirements.
