About PMVA Associates

PMVAA is an association of different training providers using thesame model of training. The idea is to bridge the gap created by the existence of multiple models of PMVA training in the UK through collaboration and joined up working involving experience professionals, trainers, violence reduction specialist and globally recognised researcher in physical activities and risk assessment. Our aim is to provide the highest quality specialist violence reduction services delivered by a dedicated team of experts. We are committed to ensuring that our training and consulting services will have outstanding outcomes and a positive impact on commissioning organisations, trainers, staff and individuals who are cared for. The organisation is made up of a group of four independent companies who offer training and/or consulting services within the health care, social care and education sectors. The organisations practice under one umbrella for the purposes of using the same training model delivered under uniform standards and expectations. It will also provide a governance structure and processes for all trainers who are certified to use the PMVA Associates training model. The model aims not just to be a training provider but a specialist service provider. We want our service to be geared towards changing mindsets, particularly about the role of restraint in any violence reduction approach.
