About PNW Racing

The PNW Purpose PNW is a U19 junior race team designed to fill the gap between U17 pathways in local youth clubs and national or international U23 and pro teams. Our goal is to support the top athletes in Western Canada by providing them with opportunities to train, race, and develop essential life skills as part of a team. Why PNW Racing? PNW Racing offers the necessary support for riders to compete at events across Canada, the USA, and Europe. Recognizing that high-level competition can exceed $30,000 per year, we understand that young cyclists require additional assistance to pursue their cycling aspirations. Team Experience Racing as a team in diverse environments and alongside peers of similar ages encourages athletes to challenge themselves both as bike racers and individuals, preparing them for future success. Our program emphasizes the importance of athletic development while also supporting academic growth and life skills. Our Mission “We want to ensure this generation of Canadian cyclists has the team support required to help them succeed at national and international races. Our athletes aspire to represent Canada at the 2026 World Championship in Montreal. We are providing the opportunity to make this dream a reality.” ~ Paul Rigby Director Our Leadership Our Sports Director Steph Roorda, has been involved with top level cycling as a trailblazing pro rider and national level coach for nearly two decades. Steph will share her knowledge, positive outlook and experience to give athletes a cycling and life education. Good leadership is central to our success. Steph is supported by a passionate team motivated to make the PNW mission sustainable in the long term. The team is driving to create a lasting legacy that supports the development of elite cyclists in Canada.
