About Poco a Poco

At Poco a Poco, our mission is to cultivate a vibrant community through musical initiatives that inspire, educate, and entertain. Our annual Summer Music Fest offers comprehensibve programs for young musicians: - Young Artist Program: A weeklong intensive for high school students, providing personalized training in voice, choir, piano, and theory, along with electives to explore diverse musical concepts. Each participant receives individualized schedules crafted by Executive Director Kate Tombaugh, ensuring alignment with their unique skills and goals. - Junior High Training Days: Designed for students entering 6th to 8th grade, this program offers two enriching afternoons of musical exploration. Participants engage in comprehensive training sessions and perform alongside the Community Choir and High School Young Artists, fostering early musical development. Poco a Poco is committed to making high-quality arts accessible to all. We host free, public outreach concerts during the festival week, including Faculty Concerts, Student Showcases, and Community Concerts featuring the Community Choir and Community String Ensemble. These events celebrate the collective talent and dedication of our participants and faculty, enriching the cultural fabric of our community.
