About POD Design

POD Design was established in 2003 by partners Steve Kolwicz and Yumin Li after about seven years each contributing to the success of a large landscape architecture firm in Columbus, Ohio. Originally known as Kolwicz Li Design, the firm changed names after acquiring another successful practice in the Columbus market. POD has enjoyed steady growth for each of its seven years. Beginning with just Yumin and Steve working out of the basement of a local architecture firm the company now has staff in four locations in the United States and China. POD Design’s office in Shanghai, China was established to continue to nurture associations Yumin Li had established in China, prior to moving to the United States. In 2013, a design studio in Cincinnati was set up to meet the needs for the Northern Kentucky & Cincinnati clients. POD Design is a professional consulting firm providing a people oriented design approach to landscape architecture, planning, and urban design services for both public and private clients. We endeavor to meet the expectations of our clients by developing highly creative, cost effective, and timely solutions to each design challenge we are offered. Our success is derived from a close working relationship between our clients and our design team of landscape architects, planners, and urban designers. We view each design challenge as a unique set of opportunities to develop a response that enhances the environment in which people live, work, and play.
