https://vimeo.com/point5hk https://www.facebook.com/point5hk IG: pointfivecreations Founded in 2018, we are an artist-driven cel animation studio based in Hong Kong, a city with a total area of merely 1104 square kilometers. However, we connect animation talents from all over the world for a wide range of commercial and original projects. We are known for creating some of the most memorable game trailers, such as Assassin's Creed (2017) and Cytus II. We have also produced animated music videos that have received over a million hits, including Snakehips X Jess Glynne - Lie For You and Canton pop singer Anson Kong - Sin No Maki. Additionally, our commercials, like Nike Air Max (2018), have gone viral. Founder Ng Kai Chung has directed several award-winning original animation shorts, including Everywhere (2022), Another World (2019), and Tale of Rebellious Stone (2013). Partnered with film writer and producer Polly Yeung, they are dedicated to creating Ng's debut film, Another World, a high-quality and rare "Made in Hong Kong" animation movie, which is expected to be completed in 2024. In 2021, we explored the possibilities of ArtTech work and created a 15-minute VR project called Silili & Tree. This work was awarded the Digital Entertainment (Interaction Design) Silver Award at the HKICT Awards 2022 and was invited to the 2023 Busan Film Festival - Community BIFF Program. Despite the challenges posed by the Covid pandemic, the landscape of the video-audio industry has changed drastically. However, it has also provided us with opportunities to grow our international business and expand our network of talents through online platforms. We have collaborated with a Japanese creative team on the commercials for NEC Lavie Vega Creatokyo, Taiwanese game designers on the trailer for Chaos Academy, a US director for the MV Lie For You, and a Chinese mobile game developer for the promotion reel of the game 3rd, among others.
