About Policy Research International
Policy Research International (PRI) is a Canadian company with offices in Ottawa. For over 25 years, PRI has specialised in research, strategy development, policy and program design, evaluation and project implementation, with a focus on climate change and international development. PRI clients have included several sectoral ministries of national governments (e.g., natural resources, environment, industry, external affairs and health), as well as aid agencies of countries such as Canada, Australia, Denmark, Sweden and the UK. Multilateral organizations, such as the Commonwealth Secretariat, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank, and several United Nations agencies have also been regular clients. In addition, regular and repeat clients of PRI include the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa and a number of non-governmental organisations and private sector entities. PRI’s strengths lie in the involvement of senior staff in all projects, an ability to provide a very high level of expertise in core areas of focus, meticulous attention to detail, rigorous analytical capabilities; and in being able to make the strategic linkages between mitigation and adaptation where opportunities exist. PRI’s projects capitalise on the broad knowledge base, experience, and judgement of its consultants; its ability to integrate multidisciplinary skills; and the firm’s strategic and long-term orientation. PRI’s network of global associates in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America adds the required local presence, knowledge and additional specialization as required. All senior consultants with PRI have post graduate degrees and over 15 years of working experience. PRI consultants have worked on challenging and complex projects in over 60 countries and have expertise in various sectors, including energy efficiency, renewables, water resource management, transportation, agriculture and education.
