About POLVO Press

POLVO Press was founded by Eva Titherington and Will Nicholls in 2020. In the same year, Eva graduated from Wimbledon College of Art in Sculpture and Will graduated from Chelsea College of Art in Fine Art. POLVO’s original purpose was to act as an imaginary press to publish Eva’s play Burial. Both Eva and Will had used the Spanish word for ‘dust’ in titles of artworks. Now POLVO invites submissions and commissions from anyone who has work they would like published. Eva and Will work with every author turning projects into publications. This can involve proofreading, designing page layouts and covers, preparing the work digitally for printing, deciding the dimensions and weight of the paper or simply offering advice and experience to anyone interested in publishing, even if it isn’t with POLVO. POLVO funds the entire cost of printing and won’t charge authors for the time they spend with Eva and Will developing each published work. Editions are printed in 50 copy batches. Authors receive 50% of the profit of their work. The other half goes to maintaining POLVO Press. Each publication’s price is decided in relation to the cost of printing. So far POLVO has published for Eva Titherington, Will Nicholls, Poor Mother, Max M-K and Camberwell College of Arts (UAL).
