About Poly Reps
Poly Reps is an organization of approximately 40 Cal Poly students who assist in promoting Cal Poly to prospective students and their parents, alumni, potential donors, and friends of the university. Poly Reps exemplify Learn By Doing and live by the Mustang Way through campus tours, visits to high schools, assisting in special events, and developing leadership, teamwork, and friendship amongst one another. Jointly sponsored by the Admissions Office (Academic Affairs) and Annual Giving, Poly Reps have an incredible opportunity to positively represent Cal Poly to students past, present, and future. Poly Reps bring together students from different colleges, majors and backgrounds with one common thread - they love to promote and support Cal Poly! Poly Reps is composed of an Executive Board and general members overseen by advisors and the Admissions Office. General members can participate in ad-hoc committees to help Executive Board members and engage further with the organization and community. At the end of every spring quarter, the organization holds an election for chair member positions on the Executive Board. Chair and associate positions include: - President - Recruitment & Retention Chair - Associate Recruitment and Retention Chair - Tours Chair - Associate Tours Chair - Outreach & Partnerships Chair - Events & Engagements Chair Poly Reps has been recognized at The Council for Advancement and Support of Education - Affiliated Student Advancement Programs (CASE ASAP), an annual conference where a group of current Poly Reps used to travel to each year.
