The Polybid Company was established in 1965 on Kibbutz Mishmar HaNegev as part of the worldview of industry in the working settlements. Today it is the leading company in Israel for insulation products. The company is under the ownership of Massuot Yitzhak (65%) and Mishmar HaNegev (35%). Polybid is the leading company of the Polybid Group, the other two are Mivneh Darom, which manufactures insulation panels for buildings, and Bid-Tec that manufactures advanced building products and possesses two leading international brands in the construction and infrastructures branch – Acotec and Polyesh. The Polybid Company operates in four primary sector,' The leading one of which is the building sector, along with the food, industry and agriculture sectors. The company has set for itself the goal of leading in terms of quality and consequently it has been certified with the Gold Standard of the Israel Standards Institute and holds all the relevant Standards Certifications in its field of business. Polybid’s Development and Engineering Department engages in developing new products according to identification of market requirements and cooperates with its customers, who are seeking solutions for their requirements. At the basis of the company’s products are a number of basic materials: Expanded Polystyrene (EPS), Extruded Polystyrene (PolyPan), PolySilver and Expanded Polypropylene (EPP), from which the products for thermal insulation, acoustic insulation and insulation for static and dynamic loads, and more are produced.
