About Pomponio Ranch

We breed, raise, and train world class show jumping horses from our champion stallions and mares. Our top stallions, chosen from proven and highly desirable European bloodlines, have outstanding careers in International Jumping competitions at heights of 1.50 meters or higher. In addition, our mares have also had successful jumping careers and many have achieved the “Elite” status from the Belgian Warmblood Society.about-side-photo-500 We have produced two Champions of the International Jumper Four-Year Old Futurity. Our other young horses can be seen competing successfully at 1.0–1.30 meters at shows around California. Located in a peaceful, scenic valley between San Gregorio and Pescadero, our horses graze on lush grasses, watered by our abundant springs and reservoir. That’s unusual here in California! Surrounded by sheep, cows, and families with kids, our horses are calm and gentle in nature. Our foals grow up on green pastures and are handled in a quiet manner from birth. We have veterinarian-supervised feeding programs for optimal nutrition so that their skeletal and muscular structure develop at the best rate for soundness and longevity. Shortly after they are started under saddle, they are ridden both in our new, state-of-the-art ring and all over the ranch to develop both physically and mentally. Our goal is to breed and sell top quality American bred horses, advancing the future of the international show jumping sport.
