About Port of Call Media

Established in 2022, Port of Call Media represents the final form of Tom and Alex’s creative collaboration. Working together since meeting at University, they’ve built Port of Call Media to provide a one stop shop for Creative Services for brands and businesses looking for impactful work that represents them. Integrated within the Portsmouth Community, their work has showcased the city’s vibrant cultural output. Since the inaugural Portsmouth Open Studios Event, they have served as the official Media Partners of the organisation, supporting artists and venues with their work. Their social impact work spans from anti-ivory trade films, supporting young creative groups, to documenting biodiversity restoration across the Solent. Their professional collaboration began in 2017 with the forming of Familiar Stranger Studios during a self-employed placement year. Set up as a production company to take on client commissions to fund University Projects, Familiar Stranger was awarded the Self-Employment Placement Award and established the infrastructure for their work today. As a boutique creative studio, they deliver agency-level production with the dexterity, care and personality of a trusted local crew - building story-driven work that you’ll be proud to fly your flag with.
